“Sweeping The Smokies”
Tom Albert started the chimney sweeping business in 1984. After graduating Western Carolina University Tom started his chimney sweep business. The business grew from a 1-man (and his dog Partner) to an 8 person company. Tom has been married to his wife beautiful Karen since 1986 and they have 1 daughter, Megan, who is a student at Western Carolina 
University and is studying psychology.
Tom and Karen expanded their business 16 years ago and opened “The Fireplace Shop”. Tom loves the water and is an avid scuba diver and water skier. In the winter time you can find Tom and Karen on the ski slopes. Tom is a past president and board member of the North Carolina Chimney Sweep Association, and is an instructor for the National Fireplace Institute.
Karen Albert graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in interior design. You will find Karen most days at the Fireplace Shop. Karen has been in the business since 1985 and enjoys talking soot with the boys. Karen’s real passion is her daughter Megan and she also enjoys the lake and snow skiing.
Sandy Killian is the office manager. Sandy has been with Clean Sweep since 1996. She is married and has 1 son, Aaron. Sandy is very knowledgeable and she oversees the quotes, schedules, orders, and our walk-in customers. Chances are when you call or come by Clean Sweep you will meet Sandy.
Fadrian Robinson is our assistant in the office. She has been with Clean Sweep since 2007 and is really learning the business. She is a very pleasant go-getter! Her duties include answering the phone, scheduling jobs, data entry, and assists with sale in the Fireplace Shop. Fadrian and her husband Raymond have just started expanding their family.
Jason Wixson is a North Carolina certified sweep and an NFI certified installer. Jason is definitely a “hands on” type of person. His duties include installing our fireplaces and stoves, relining and restoring chimneys, masonry work and sweeping, just to name a few. Jason owns his home in Clyde and loves to tinker with his Lopi wood stove. His interest includes camping, fishing and working with his Chocolate Labrador, Bella.
Caleb Burress is a certified sweep who joined our team in 2005. His duties include sweeping and system evaluation plus crown repair, waterproofing, flashing repair, and chimney cap installation. Caleb's interest and main love is music. He is the lead singer of his band and he enjoys song writing and recording.
Rob Bell is the newest member of the Clean Sweep team. Rob joined us in 2008 and now boasts accreditation as a N.C. certified sweep. Rob spends most of his time helping Jason on install jobs and relines. Before he joined us he was a driver for Budweiser distributing.
Rob is a father of 1 son, Ian, and is a Boy Scout of America den leader and a model train enthusiast.
